Job summary: KASCO is recruiting a Senior Accountant to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports to determine or maintain record of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liability, or other financial activities within the organization. Senior Accountant will be a business partner to functions throughout the Division. Additional interaction may also take place with outside other businesses, banks, customers, vendors, and corporate personnel. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness. Performs monthly close activities including making journal entries, analyzing prepaid and accrued expense accounts in the general ledger, and handling inter-company transactions with other KASCO and Steel Partners entities. Coordinates monthly G/L account reconciliations with support of Staff Accountant.
