$19 - $20.50 / Hourly Reporting to the Operations Manager/Transportation Managers with a dotted line to the Transportation Manager, the Mover Technician physically lifts, carries and/or pushes furniture, equipment, and cartons on wheels to and from trucks, offices and warehouses as requested by the customer. May assist in loading and offloading trucks from docks and/or on a lift-gate and setting & offsetting goods on equipment. Responsible to produce a quality move for the customer. Also physically and professionally disconnects and reconnects workstation PCs, peripherals, server components and related hardware, and/or provide daily help-desk solutions at an ROI account or projects as assigned. Assists the move process by communicating with supervisors, the end users/customer and other crew members. Uses extreme care not to damage goods or facilities during the move. Should have general electrical knowledge, be familiar with fillers, capers, labelers, boilers, compressors and mixers. Provides full support of capital projects, leads ordering and controlling inventories of spare parts. This is a hands-on position requiring coordination and execution of quality, food safety, and occupational safety policies and procedures with other departments (production, QA and warehouse). Reports to Manufacturing Supervisor. Accountabilities: Works with supervisor in development, implementation and revision of equipment preventative maintenance program. Performs himself and delegates to others required maintenance activities/tasks. Coordinates, schedules and ensures execution of services provided by vendors, maintenance work orders, PM program activities and implementation of capital projects.
