The Counselor will also conduct weekly counseling, education, and/or Bible/prayer groups, record and submit statistical information, assist with intake as required, administer compliance screening for prohibited substances, and attend staff meetings, retreats, conferences, and other Salvation Army events as assigned. The successful candidate will have an Associate’s degree in counseling or related field, have working knowledge of issues such as substance abuse, homelessness, displacement, etc., and have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
