Job Description Job Description We are seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician MLT/Scientist to join our team! You will be responsible for performing medical tests for the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases. 24/7 hospitals must be able to work 2nd and 3rd shifts as some department have a rotation for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts. Responsibilities: Collect and organize blood, tissue, and other bodily fluid samples from patients Prepare samples for routine testing and analysis Properly record results for further analysis and easy reference Monitor inventory samples and supplies Maintain a clean work environment Work under the supervision of a medical technologist Qualifications: Previous experience as a clinical technician or in other related fields Familiarity with common medical terminology Experience in a laboratory setting Strong organizational skills Must be ASCP certified Degree or enough science credits to qualify for ASCP (Copy of degree or transcripts) Copy of MLT Cert

Job Summary: Perform generalist duties for multiple areas of the Laboratory which may include any of the following areas: Core lab, Microbiology, and/or Blood Bank. Job duties to include specimen receiving and processing; computer related duties such as patient entry, test request entry/requisition format, on-line/manual entry of test results, data retrieval, printing and answering worksheets, printing panic and pending log sheets, phoning panic values and documenting in computer system, quality control, reagent preparation, following general laboratory safety procedures including universal precautions and chemical and biochemical hazard precautions.
