In 1949, Don Young and Roy Lowe started the legacy of Lowe and Young. We first started selling Minneapolis Moline tractors and operated a gas station in front of the dealership. In 1952 we took on the New Holland hay and forage line of equipment and in 1959 we took on the Massey Ferguson line of equipment. In 1979 Carlton Steiner, Walt Stutz and Don Young purchased Roy Lowes shares and had sole ownership. As Lowe and Young grew with the additional lines, we added a 25 x 100 ft addition on the west side of the building for sales and accounting offices. In 1986, we took on the Ford line of tractors, which grew the business again. As the years went on, we have added many other lines of equipment such as Fendt, Krone, Kinze, Landpride, Great Plains, Krause and others. In November 2011, Carlton Steiner retired as President/CEO and sold his majority stock position to the current owners, Bill Hartzler, Jason Steiner, Craig Forrer and Bill Boreman. While our owners might be changing, one thing will remain constant: our unwavering commitment to provide our customers with the best customer service possible. Providing the best service and having the parts in stock when you need them has always been the top priority at Lowe & Young. We currently have 35 employees total in the service, sales, parts and accounting departments. With a total combined experience of hundreds of years, we have the knowledge and know how to help you out and keep your operation up and going. We have a service fleet of seven stocked trucks that are able to travel to your site. We also offer a parts drop off service now! All parts will be dropped off every Friday in Mt.
