Job Description Job Description Machine Operator: Operation of Shear to cut larger flat pieces of sheet steel in to smaller, precise dimensions. Operator will enter dims. On control board, insert sheet and initiate the shearing (cutting) process. They will then QC each piece sheared, mark the piece as per the sales order # on the paperwork used to determine the piece length/width requirements. Continue operation until all required pieces are sheared, then move on to the next order. Candidate must be able to read a tape measure. Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
