Essential Duties and Responsibilities: To “own” the monthly close process along with being the liaison for annual audit and tax. Support the CFO in carrying out the responsibilities of the Finance / Accounting Department. Duties and Responsibilities also include: Manage and develop a team of 2 Staff Accountants. General Ledger maintenance and preparation of journal entries. Facilitate and complete monthly close procedures (meet/exceed close schedule due dates). Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules according to monthly close checklist. Ensure accuracy of financial statements in accordance with GAAP and compliance to internal policies.
