Menzies Motorsports was established in 2007 when Las Vegas Business man Steve Menzies wanted to find something fun for him and his son Bryce Menzies to do together. With many years riding dirtbikes together they decided to try out Short Course racing and purchased their first Single Buggy. With the help of a few close friends the Menzies Crew traveled to Antelope Valley, CA to race in the CORR series and after an action packed weekend Bryce came home with a first place win in his first ever Single Buggy race. From there the race team grew and so did the talk about Menzies Motorsports. With drivers like Rob MacCachren and Bryan Freeman under the Menzies pit word in the Short Course community was that they were going to be the newest top team in the sport. After many wins in Single Buggy, Pro Buggy and Pro Lite class, that is just what they did was established a name for themselves and quickly. The 2009/2010 racing season was full of many wins and also new beginnings. Bryce Menzies started racing the Geiser/Menzies built Trophy Truck and quickly made a name for himself in Desert Racing. Menzies Motorsports ended the 2010 season with 2 LOORRS championships and 2010 LOORRS Super Team of the Year. The team also got news that they would be receiving sponsorship from Red Bull Energy Drink. The 2011 season started off quickly and in January the Red Bull-Menzies team raced the SCORE Laughlin Desert Challenge and started the year off with a win in the desert. Not long after Bryce took the first win in the Pro2 class of the LOORRS series. Now the team will travel back East to race in the TORC Series for the 2011 Short Course season. Joining the Menzies team this year will be Ricky Johnson racing in the Menzies Built PRO 44 and his son Luke Johnson racing in the Pro Light class. Bryce, Ricky and Luke will be racing for championships this year and the entire Menzies Motorsports team is giving 110% to make sure they have what it takes to win.
