The State of Florida, Department of Health (DOH), contracts with the University of Miami, Department of Pediatrics to provide for a coordinated interdisciplinary team approach for the evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of child maltreatment. The Child Protection Team is a Florida-statutory mandated program to assist the Department of Children and Families (DCF) during the investigation of suspected child maltreatment.
