MTECH offers its PolyTough™ Wildland and Quick Attack fire truck bodies in various states of finish for its customers, and one of those is as a turn-key truck solution. Depending on the type of truck and requirements of the customer, MTECH either builds the entire vehicle or teams with our trusted partners at Hi-Tech EVS in Oakdale, California. Many of our customers are volunteer fire departments or private contractors with mechanics on staff. Therefore, our most common truck build is when we receive a chassis and deliver a painted, mounted body with striping and DOT lights to the customer. However, for those customers who do not have the time or ability to finish out a truck build themselves, MTECH can provide that service for you. We specialize in Type 6 and smaller trucks, but through our partnership with Hi-Tech EVS we are able to deliver any size project with a variety of options to suit your needs. Type 3 and larger vehicles with a high Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) aren't as affected by the increased weight of a non-polymer body or tank. However, a Quick Attack Ford F-550 needs every bit of weight savings it can find. This is where MTECH's PolyTough™ construction comes in. Our copolymer is roughly the equivalent weight of aluminum, but unlike aluminum, copolymer will never crack or corrode and is extremely impact resistant. This means you can have more storage and water capacity for any given truck when compared to other build materials, all while maintaining a bulletproof design that will provide years of trouble-free service.
