Unit Description: As an RN in our fast-paced, 32 bed post-operative unit, you will care for a mixed population of orthopedic patients. Our team is a collaborative mix of RNs, LNAs, Unit Secretaries, Nursing students, Physical and Occupational Therapists, Case Managers, Quality partners, Medical Students, Residents and Attendings who work together to provide Miller 6 patients with the highest quality care. We have state of the art rooms with beautiful views of the UVM campus and Lake Champlain. Every room is equipped with a ceiling lift and plenty of room for families and space in which to do physical therapy. We primarily treat post-surgical patients including trauma, total hip & knee replacements, hip fractures and spine patients. Nurses are encouraged to grow professionally through Orthopedic specific certifications.
