Description Position Summary The Medical Assistant (MA) is responsible for assisting Physicians and/or Mid-level Providers in the clinic setting. Duties include: rooming patients, obtaining medical histories, completing thorough documentation in EMR, preparation of injections, front desk phone calls, assisting with procedures, including the application and removal of casts and the fitting and educational use of Durable Medical Equipment (DME). Assists in general maintenance of equipment, supplies, and exam rooms. Essential Job Functions/Accountabilities MA utilizes medical skills to provide support to patients and health care staff under the supervision of a licensed provider or nurse. Prepares EMR for new patients. Ensures that proper patient forms are complete, current, and entered into the computer.
