The history of Niru & Co LLC began when Niru & Co. was established in 1978. Niru & Co began as a niche practice with an initial focus on shipping and marine insurance law. Further, in the year 2000, the two principal partners of Niru & Co. were invited to join Zaid Ibrahim & Co, the largest law firm in Malaysia as a Consultant and a Partner, respectively. They led the litigation division in that firm until 2004. As from 1st June 2009, Niru & Co merged with Global Law Alliance LLC (GLA), a Singapore firm in formal alliance with SNR Denton UK LLP. The team from Niru & Co formed the Litigation Office. As of 1st November 2016, the Litigation Office of GLA demerged to go back to practicing as Niru & Co LLC. The singular objective of the Firm has always been to provide personalised partner level service in an efficient and affordable manner.
