PROS is dedicated to providing the best and most comprehensive inventory of replacement parts for drycleaning machines. PROS first location, in downtown Minneapolis, was the Ford Center where we rented 1400 square feet of office/warehouse space. PROS grew quickly and so Theresa Horan joined the company in November of 1988 and is now controller at PROS. PROS continued to add inventory and staff in late 80's. In 1990 PROS developed the "Refrigerator" to convert open (non-refrigerated ) systems to closed 4th generation refrigerated systems. PROS added to its product line with the introduction of a perk still in 1991. We now produce stills for use with both perc and hydrocarbon solvents in a variety of sizes and configurations. John Corwin joined the company in May 1992 and his integrity, knowledge and service attitude helped PROS Parts to become the biggest and best drycleaning machine parts supplier in United States. On August 26, 1993, PROS moved to 13,000 square feet space in Minneapolis. At this location we further expanded our product line to include rebuilt Vic drycleaning machinery. With our experience in re-manufacturing, PROS developed our own Dry-cleaning machines called "VECTRA". The VECTRA series used all the most modern technology along with the best of the time proven techniques. The Vectra Series was produced in both perc and hydrocarbon solvent versions. On January 1, 2005 PROS moved to our own building in Blaine, Minnesota. This move allowed us to develop our own space and re-design the warehouse. PROS will continue to strive to be the best parts supplier manufacturer in the drycleaning industry. We hope you will give us a try and find out for yourself the advantages of working with the PROS. © Copyright 2018 PROS Parts / Diversified Technologies & Solutions, Inc., Minneapolis, Minnesota USA

What Skills Does a person Need at Pros Parts?

At Pros Parts, specify the abilities and skills that a person needs in order to carry out the specified job duties. Each competency has five to ten behavioral assertions that can be observed, each with a corresponding performance level (from one to five) that is required for a particular job.

  1. Technical Support: Offering hands-on assistance and solutions to end-users in addressing and troubleshooting technical issues.
  2. Troubleshooting: Troubleshooting is a form of problem solving, often applied to repair failed products or processes on a machine or a system. It is a logical, systematic search for the source of a problem in order to solve it, and make the product or process operational again. Troubleshooting is needed to identify the symptoms. Determining the most likely cause is a process of elimination—eliminating potential causes of a problem. Finally, troubleshooting requires confirmation that the solution restores the product or process to its working state. In general, troubleshooting is the identification or diagnosis of "trouble" in the management flow of a system caused by a failure of some kind. The problem is initially described as symptoms of malfunction, and troubleshooting is the process of determining and remedying the causes of these symptoms. A system can be described in terms of its expected, desired or intended behavior (usually, for artificial systems, its purpose). Events or inputs to the system are expected to generate specific results or outputs. (For example, selecting the "print" option from various computer applications is intended to result in a hardcopy emerging from some specific device). Any unexpected or undesirable behavior is a symptom. Troubleshooting is the process of isolating the specific cause or causes of the symptom. Frequently the symptom is a failure of the product or process to produce any results. (Nothing was printed, for example). Corrective action can then be taken to prevent further failures of a similar kind.
  3. Customer Service: Customer service is the provision of service to customers before, during and after a purchase. The perception of success of such interactions is dependent on employees "who can adjust themselves to the personality of the guest". Customer service concerns the priority an organization assigns to customer service relative to components such as product innovation and pricing. In this sense, an organization that values good customer service may spend more money in training employees than the average organization or may proactively interview customers for feedback. From the point of view of an overall sales process engineering effort, customer service plays an important role in an organization's ability to generate income and revenue. From that perspective, customer service should be included as part of an overall approach to systematic improvement. One good customer service experience can change the entire perception a customer holds towards the organization.
  4. Problem Solving: Analyzing and identifying the root cause of problems and applying critical thinking skills to solve problems.
  5. Analysis: Analysis is the process of considering something carefully or using statistical methods in order to understand it or explain it.
