The Puget Sound Car Wash Association is a regional, professional association of car wash owners. We're a leader in the effort to protect streams, lakes, and the Puget Sound from pollution caused by washing cars and trucks. The Association was founded in 1993. The PSCWA's car wash ticket fundraiser, Charitycarwash.org, provides nonprofits with an alternative to parking lot car washes through sales of tickets good at our members' washes. The Puget Sound Car Wash Association has a Memorandum of Understanding with the Department of Ecology to work cooperatively on water quality and conservation issues. The Puget Sound Car Wash Association holds Car Wash Awareness Month each May to raise public awareness to the importance to the environment of proper car washing practices. The PSCWA works with public utilities to distribute utility bill stuffers in their customers' bills. The PSCWA works with cities and counties on their public outreach projects. The Puget Sound Car Wash Association participates, by invitation, in county and city community events, as well as in PTA, Little League, and Boys & Girls Club expos. The Puget Sound Car Wash Association was awarded the International Carwash Association's Community Service Leadership Award. We hold two or more membership meetings each year, providing our members with an opportunity to discuss industry issues and Association business. We offer a crime hotline and work with local law enforcement to catch those committing crimes against our members' washes. Our members enjoy social events.
