The Region VI Workforce Investment Board (WIB) was created under the federal Workforce Investment Act (WIA) of 1998. WIA is regulated by the US Department of Labor (DOL). The Region VI WIB is a private non-profit organization under the direction of the West Virginia Governor's Workforce Investment Division (GWID).
