As an employee at MEC, you will apply liquid paint to products where high grade and decorative finishes are required ensuring required film thickness and cosmetic requirements are met. A role like this comes with some important responsibilities, some of those responsibilities include: Understands gun, pump, and other equipment operations and makes adjustments as trained to produce quality parts economically. Follows proper paint procedures including distance from gun to part, flow rates, air pressure, and overlap. May clean and prepare surface of article to be painted. May apply masking tape over parts and areas that are not to be coated. May select and mix coating liquid to produce desired viscosity. Perform preventative maintenance as scheduled.
