Overview: NaphCare is hiring a Psychiatrist to join our Jail Based Treatment Program that operates as a 30-bed adult specialized behavioral health unit at Washoe County Detention Facility in Reno, NV. The Psychiatrist will maintain overall clinical responsibility for the medication management, including overseeing involuntary medication orders, of patients on the JBTP. The ideal candidate has experience working in a mental health and/or correctional setting, and in working within a multidisciplinary team. The Jail-Based Treatment Program (JBTP) provides specialized behavioral health services for patients awaiting transfer to a state hospital for further psychiatric treatment. The unit is a therapeutic environment, providing intensive day treatment services.
