Position Summary Crew will spend the summer working and learning within the Recreation division of the Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest on the Snoqualmie Ranger District in North Bend, WA. Crew will work about 1/3 of their time in each department: trails, Wilderness, and frontcountry recreation (trailhead and dispersed sites), and work with Forest Service crew members. Crew will perform maintenance tasks at developed and dispersed recreation sites such as cleaning toilets, trash collection, and public contacts. In trails, crew will perform trail maintenance tasks as including logout of Wilderness trails with crosscut saw, brushing, and drainage maintenance. In Wilderness, crew will assist in public contact ranger patrols, including maintenance of toilets, removal of illegal campfire rings, and collecting trail condition and campsite condition information.
