Thompson Creek Metals Company Inc. was a full cycle mining company with acquisition, exploration, development, and operation in North America. In 2016, Thompson Creek was acquired by Centerra Gold for $1.1 billion. The deal took place because of Thompson Creek's substantial debt incurred to develop their Mount Milligan mine.
