Our mission is to promote art education and artistic endeavors throughout the community; to maintain a space in which to meet for the purpose of exhibitions, lectures, and instruction; and to work with the community to stimulate an interest in the arts. From its humble beginnings as a joint effort between the Amrose + Sable Gallery,the Upstate Artists Guild, and the Romaine Brooks Gallery, 1st Friday has become a popular outing drawing more than 1,000 art lovers from in and outside of the Capital Region.
