Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. Thorough knowledge of functional area under supervision.     WHO YOU ARE:

    You enjoy maintaining and repairing the facility and equipment, housekeeping, and leading a small team. 

    WHAT YOU WILL DO:

    • Assists with the direction of the Facilities team including training, planning, assigning, problem solving, and reviewing work performance. 
    • Keeps Bingo building clean, sanitized, and stocked; includes restrooms, bingo floor, VGD game rooms, parking lots, breakrooms, and other work areas in accordance with departments SOPs.
    • Completes restroom cleaning logs, daily tasks logs, and verifies completion of logs by staff.
    • Displays and removes (when applicable) hazard signs; ie. “wet floor”, “restroom closed”, “cords on floor” and others as needed.
    • Clean tile, vinyl, and carpeted floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming. in the Bingo Hall as directed.
    • Pick-up and remove trash and recyclable materials from the building and wash trash cans as needed.
    • Gather, empty and clean ashtrays.
    • Assist other departments as needed.
    • Assist with the set up and tear-down, arrange, and/or remove decorations, tables, chairs, ladders, to prepare facilities for events, such as banquets or meetings.
    • Removes snow from sidewalks using snow shovels and spread ice melting chemical as needed.
    • Keep storage areas and carts well-stocked, clean, and tidy.
    • Collect soiled laundry articles from designated MIB locations and then load articles, start washers and driers to regulate machine processes to clean laundry.  Once the cycle is complete, fold, sort and restock articles.
    • Handles and disposes of Sharps Container and other bio-hazardous materials.
    • Clean windows, glass partitions, or mirrors, using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, or squeegees.
    • Notify managers concerning the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems.
    • Dust furniture, walls, machines, or equipment.
    • Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
    • Determines cleaning routes for staff and gives guidance/expectations for completion of duties.
    • Recommend edits/changes to Facility SOPs that could improve service and increase operational efficiency as needed.
    • Evaluate facility staff to identify risks or opportunities for improvement through auditing, review, or assessment.
    • Instruct staff in work policies and procedures, and the use and maintenance of equipment.
    • Inspect work performed to ensure that it meets specifications and established standards.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.

    WHAT YOU BRING:

    • High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
    • Minimum two (2) years verifiable industrial janitorial experience to include office spaces, kitchen spaces and general grounds cleaning required.
    • Knowledge of plumbing, electrical and general building maintenance preferred.
    • One (1) year supervisory experience required.
