Edmonson Electric, a division of IES Residential, is currently seeking an HR Coordinator!
The HR Coordinator will support and facilitate the human resource processes regarding safety, workers' compensation, and auto accidents. This role provides assistance to employees concerning safety and serves as a liaison between employees and workers' compensation providers. The HR Coordinator is responsible for determining safety training for employees and ensuring all work-related injuries are managed in accordance with company policy and OSHA regulations.
Duties/Responsibilities:- Maintain the employee safety training spreadsheet, adding new hires and removing terminated employees.- Collaborate with the Safety Team to organize training sessions across all branches as necessary.- Engage with managers and directors to ensure their employees receive required training.- Analyze safety inspection reports from the Safety Team to identify areas needing improvement across branches, and coordinate with supervisors, branch managers, and directors for timely issue resolution.- Manage the inventory of safety equipment at all branches and reorder supplies as needed (e.g., hard hats, gloves, glasses, earplugs, etc.).- Possess a thorough understanding of company policies, corporate and field operations, and the specific duties and overlaps between departments.- Facilitate communication between injured employees and insurance adjusters.- Communicate professionally and effectively with team members, employees, and insurance adjusters regarding work-related injuries.- Record and maintain claims files, employee safety training records, and databases, and prepare summary reports of collected data as required.- Ensure that safety/injury/accident folders are current, restocked with new forms after each incident, and that all safety materials are ordered in a timely manner, coordinating any changes with the HR Director and Safety Team.- Attend OSHA and Safety training meetings as needed.- Adhere to OSHA 300 requirements.- Support employee training, development, and relations as necessary.- Participate in professional
Required Skills/Abilities:- Bilingual in English and Spanish- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills- Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail- Comprehensive knowledge of workers' compensation laws, procedures, and regulations- Proficient in gathering complete and accurate claims information- Capable of delivering presentations and trainings to elucidate rules and policies- Able to perform effectively in a fast-paced and occasionally stressful environment- Outstanding time management abilities- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software
Education and Experience:- High school diploma or equivalent- Minimum of two years of experience in HR, safety, or managing work-related injuries- Familiarity with OSHA Construction standards is advantageous
Physical Requirements:- Able to sit for extended periods and work on a computer- Capable of lifting up to 20 pounds occasionally- Willingness to travel to various worksites for training purposes
