Maravai LifeSciences is seeking a #MiracleMaker to join our Human Resources team as a Senior Benefits & HR Operations Analyst. In this role you will provide benefits program management and HR operations support for Maravai LifeSciences and its multiple employing entities in the U.S. Reporting to the Sr. Manager, HR Operations, you will be a key expert working collaboratively with the HR team, across other functions in the organization, and directly with vendors to bring competitive and creative programs to Maravai that balance the needs of our employees and of our business.

The Benefits Program Manager will provide both strategic and tactical oversight for such benefit programs as the 401(k) retirement savings plan, medical, dental and vision benefits, leave of absence, disability and life insurance, wellness programs and employee events, health savings accounts, flexible spending accounts, paid-time-off and other special and voluntary programs.
How you will make an impact:
- In partnership with HR leadership, develop benefit programs that are in line with our corporate values/culture, and engage employees in their physical, financial and mental wellness
- In partnership with the Employee Communications leader, oversee and deliver program communication and improve employee understanding and appreciation of our benefits investment
- Ensure that employee access to information on our intranet or in other portals is up-to-date, complete and user friendly
- Update benefit plan summaries and ensure that our external careers page has relevant information attractive to new hires, and that our employee intranet has helpful information that enables employees to maximize their utilization and understanding of our plans
- Leverage HR operations colleagues to ensure day-to-day benefits plan management and accurate processing through payroll through regular audits, implementation reviews, and process management
- Act as central point of contact for HR on plan questions and assist in reconciling employee issues with assistance from our administrators and providers
- Train others in HR operations to assist in handling employee inquiries
- Establish new and innovative programs, plan designs and administration that meet the needs of our varied demographics and shrink our utilization and care gaps
- Run annual open enrollment including education and training, HR readiness, enrollment platform and system interface updates, and post enrollment reporting
- Provide ongoing oversight for the 401(k) plan administration, working with our plan administrator and outside investment advisory firm to manage necessary transactions including annual audit and compliance filings and notices
- Initiate a robust Wellness practice, coordinating initiatives to achieve employee engagement and improvements in employee health and wellbeing
- Oversee the U.S. leave of absence policy, working the outsourced Leave Administrator, HRBPs and legal to ensure appropriate implementation and administration of state and federal benefit entitlements and insurance coverage
- Monitor, analyze and proactively develop responses to trends, budget impacts, regulations and other items related to benefits both within and outside the Company
- Participate in the selection and management of external consultants, administrators and benefit providers
- Provide ongoing direction and oversight to vendors, ensuring satisfactory delivery of agreed deliverables
- As needed, create integration plans and strategies in the case of M&A, including identification of risk
- Oversee governance for benefits plans, including committees, surveys, focus groups and others means to ensure effective decision making and compliance
- Perform other functions and duties as required
The skills and experience that you will bring:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or Human Resources preferred
- 10 years progressive Human Resources experience, with at least 5 years in benefits administration
- Experience with competitive market analysis, project management, vendor management, budget analysis and modeling is helpful
- Must be customer service oriented, pro-active, communicative, well organized, and able to handle details with high accuracy
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint required
- Possess sound knowledge of relevant laws, state regulations and their implications
- Experience with ADP WorkforceNow or configuring similar HRIS for benefits enrollment workflows
The anticipated salary range for this position is $95,000 - $115,000. In addition, highly competitive long-term incentives in the form of company equity, bonus participation and company sponsored benefits are provided as part of the total compensation package. The salary offer will depend on multiple factors which may include the successful candidate's skills, experience and other qualifications, as well as the location of the role.
