Position Description
The Human Resources Manager assists the Director of Talent and Culture in the different areas of human resources such as compensation, benefits, recruitment, employee relations, conflict resolution, training and development. This role also supports employee wellness, counsels and advises management and employees on personnel matters, initiates and responds to inquiries, and provides information about organizational policies and procedures. Responsibilities also include investigating employee issues/concerns, preparing reports, presentations and communications for a variety of audiences, and ensuring procedures and programs are consistent with changes to federal and state laws and regulations. The Human Resource Manager is responsible to provide leadership and direction to promote a positive work environment founded on organizational core values (Self-Awareness, Curiosity, Celebration, Social Justice, and Mindfulness) and its objectives, principles, and best practices. The Human Resource Manager is responsible for supporting and collaborating on maintaining a healthy team environment and culture for all MLP employees. Job Summary
● Collaborates in development, implementation, support, and review of all HR department initiatives, policies, procedures, and systems
● Assist in the recruitment process, including generating job descriptions, posting advertisements, and the hiring process as needed
● Supports organization staff by establishing a recruiting, testing, and interviewing program; counseling managers on candidate selection; conducting and analyzing exit interviews; and recommending changes.
● Maintains the work structure by updating job requirements and job descriptions for all positions.
● Prepares employees for assignments by establishing and conducting orientation and HR training.
● Ensures planning, monitoring, and appraisal of employees by department managers
● Provides, and coaches managers on providing, performance improvements and disciplinary actions,
as needed, to employees
● Schedules management conferences with employees.
● Facilitate hearing and resolving employee grievances; and counseling employees and supervisors.
● Ensure legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource federal and

● Administrative duties, including upkeep of employee records & files (attendance, EEO data, etc.)
● Compliance with all policies and legal requirements
● Perceptive nature, careful monitoring of working conditions to ensure legal compliance
● Provide guidance to employees and management on human resources policies and procedures
● Assist with the development of training, communications, presentations and/or information programs
for employees/groups of employees

Required Experience – Minimum 3 years of successful work experience as a Human Resources Manager / Generalist, officer, administrator or other HR position.
