Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for a Supplier Support Manager to join our Customer Services team, based in Herndon, Virginia. Meet the team: The Customer Support team provides aircraft operations support throughout the aircraft's operational life. The team coordinates, implements and monitors all services customized to meet the customer’s specific needs, to ensure a positive customer relationship. Our Field Service teams provide technical support so our customers can operate safely and efficiently. Being based at our customers' facilities enables us to have a strong customer relationship and understanding of the airline's technical and operational needs. Your challenges: Understanding a contract: we are not looking for a contract attorney, but you do need to know about, and be comfortable with contracts. Wearing three hats! This is not a procurement supplier position. This position is passionate about customer services where you will lead a portfolio of customer accounts, airline accounts, and supplier accounts. This team holds each other up and though we need a self-starter who has the ability to work on their own, being flexible and jumping in when others on the team need it, is a big part of this role. We truly cultivate teamwork. Understanding the gray areas: Our team does not focus on who is right or who is wrong. This position requires someone who can facilitate a conversation, getting people to talk to each other to come up with a solution. Your boarding pass: Minimum 5 years of experience in similar activities which has allowed you to acquire knowledge in: Airlines business & operations Customer services Supplier management/contract management Being a team player Working autonomously Being proactive Having previous project management experience is preferred Knowing Spanish, French, and/or German would be an advantage, but not required Being willing to travel at least 20% of the time, knowing you will need to go to Europe likely once per year, and to Latin America approximately twice per year You must eligible for employment in the US Take your career to a new level and apply online now!
