Resource Development Coordinator - Higher Ed. jobs in Sitka, AK

As a Senior Software Engineer with Resource Data, you’ll help design and develop software solutions that elevate enterprise systems efficiency, performance, and value. You’ll join a team of high-achieving technical consultants and help provide solutions to our clients' most challenging enterprise IT problems. Currently, this team is working on a two-fold initiative with clients maintaining and preparing COBOL mainframe instances for modernization, and migrating other business-critical applications into modern Java frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze, design, develop, and test software modules in support of clients' software application development projects
• Deliver solutions with Agile project teams that adhere to business needs, technical requirements, workflow, budget, timeline, and resources
• Provide subject matter expertise in building estimates, proposals, and architectural trade-offs
• Document code to prepare teams for future modernization efforts

Basic Qualifications

• 5 years' professional software development experience
• 1 years' experience working in Agile software development teams
• Experience in COBOL mainframe programming
• Experience migrating applications and mainframes from legacy code to modern Java.

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 years' experience in a client-facing role
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
