The Manager of Digital Content leads the research, coordination, and editorial work of curators and writers. Manages the overall curation activities required to produce content for web, mobile, and other platforms. Being a Manager of Digital Content develops relationships with vendors and other sources needed to produce the quantity and quality of required content and negotiate terms and pricing. Ensures that established branding and style guidelines are implemented. In addition, Manager of Digital Content designs methodologies used to analyze content consumption data and to define content needs. Develops and manages schedules for updates, archiving, and ongoing production of content. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Manager of Digital Content manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Working as a Manager of Digital Content typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.
