Job Description

The Software Tester IV follows uniform testing procedures. Tests the most complex features of new software releases using pre-defined test plans and scripts to identify defects. Being a Software Tester IV performs follow-up rounds of testing as needed. Documents results and uses designated systems and tools to track outcomes. In addition, Software Tester IV may train new testers and coordinate resources for the team. May require an Associate's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor. Being a Software Tester IV independently performs a wide range of complex duties under general guidance from supervisors. Has gained full proficiency in a broad range of activities related to the job. Working as a Software Tester IV typically requires 5-7 years of related experience. (Copyright 2024 Salary.com)
