The Vice President of Consumer Insights establishes processes using data science tools and methodologies to synthesize information from different quantitative and qualitative data sources. Develops strategies and tactics and leads overall customer/consumer insights projects to collect, study and utilize data reflecting customer behaviors, sentiments, trends, and preferences to support product development decisions and shape marketing actions. Being a Vice President of Consumer Insights analyzes marketing program results to interpret the effectiveness of tactics. Leads the creation and deployment of customer insights research methods, including focus groups, interviews, and surveys that yield data required for developing insights. In addition, Vice President of Consumer Insights builds and develops team technical skills and capability to translate research findings into actionable strategic insights. May require a master's degree or equivalent. Typically reports to top management. The Vice President of Consumer Insights manages a departmental function within a broader corporate function. Develops major goals to support broad functional objectives. Approves policies developed within various sub-functions and departments.
