Job Description for Bankruptcy Specialist I

Bankruptcy Specialist I is responsible for the documentation and filing of loan bankruptcy materials. Responds to calls, concerns, and correspondence for bankrupt loan accounts. Being a Bankruptcy Specialist I monitors accounts throughout the loan bankruptcy process and contacts the appropriate party when necessary. Ensures full compliance with loan bankruptcy regulations, and verifies the bankruptcy is secured. Additionally, Bankruptcy Specialist I distributes account balances and interest rates to the secured and unsecured balances. Stays up to date with bankruptcy laws and regulations. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Bankruptcy Specialist I work is closely managed. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role.
