Additionally, Maintenance Planning Manager creates planning and scheduling procedures to establish the most effective and least disruptive maintenance possible. Also responsible for oversight of spare parts management, budget monitoring, and reporting. Typically requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent. May require a Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) certification. Typically reports to a director or head of unit/department. The Maintenance Planning Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions.
