Southwind Management Corporation, owners of 1-800-GOT-JUNK?, YOU MOVE ME and MVP AC, Heating and Electric, - Kansas City's premier home services company, is growing across our 9 US locations and looking to hire an Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable Technician.
Job Duties
The Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable Technician works closely with the Financial Officers of Southwind Management, Inc to ensure the daily financial success of all franchises. A successful AR/AP Tech must be detail oriented, possess excellent communication skills, effectively prioritize and be results driven.
Duties:
  • Accounts Payable – ensure validity and accuracy of invoices and maintenance of records
  • Accounts Receivable – ensure accuracy of invoices, email, mail or input on correct system
  • Daily Balance sheet, complete outside orders, follow up on all discrepancies, collect payments from employees, correct invoices
  • Data entry
  • Collection of NSF checks
  • Complete spreadsheets, W-9’s and provide reports
  • Collect on past due invoices for all franchises
  • Process payments
Qualifications:
  • Good verbal and writing skills
  • Good organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize
  • General math skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets
  • Thoroughness and detail-oriented a must
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Must be a team player
  • 1-2 years similar experience

Duties:
  • Generating financial statements and A/R reports
  • Developing, implementing, and maintaining A/R accounting policies and procedures
  • Responding to customer questions and resolving issues
  • Clerical functions such as billing, estimates, monthly statements, etc.
  • Collecting customer payments in accordance with payment due dates
  • Making collection calls on outstanding accounts
  • Comply with federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations
