Human Resources & Talent Acquisition Specialist
Full-Time
Westlake Village, CA

 
We have a fast-paced operation of approx 30-45+ employees (depending on the time of year) across our locations. This is a great opportunity for someone that enjoys all facets of the employment experience from recruiting new team members, to overseeing general HR duties, and administering training to existing employees. You have a “whatever it takes” attitude and are committed to maintaining a people-centric culture that delivers excellent customer experiences.

In this role you will:
  • Oversee all aspects of recruiting for front-line truck team members (with occasional management hiring as needed). This includes posting jobs, using an applicant tracking system, prescreening, interviewing, and extending offers to candidates.
  • Educate and communicate company policies and procedures to newly hired and current employees.
  • Participate in onboarding newly hired employees to include: employee handbook overview, employment documents, and benefits enrollment.
  • Training, Coaching and Drive Culture & High Level of Employee Engagement
  • Utilize, Execute and update our monthly Capacity Planner to stay ahead of our staffing needs
  • Create and maintain complete and confidential files on each employee. Process, verify and maintain documentation relating to personnel activities such as staffing, recruitment, training, grievances, performance evaluations and classifications.
  • Assist with company benefit administration to include enrollment forms, plan questions, claims resolution, and open enrollment.
  • Establish and maintain department records and reports; recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency and services performed.
  • Administer and ensure that all employees complete safety training.
What you bring:
  • 3-5 years of experience in human resources and recruiting in a similar capacity to the duties outlined in this job description in California required.
  • Experience attracting, screening, interviewing, and hiring new team members, preferably with high-volume and/or front-line hiring. 
  • Experience working with job boards, applicant tracking systems, or other systems for hiring
  • Experience processing new employee paperwork, maintaining employee records and confirming employee hours and schedules
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize based on business needs
  • Strategic thinking to identify opportunities and bring solutions for ongoing HR, recruiting and training efficiencies
  • Knowledge or experience administering employee training programs
