Develops, maintains and controls the master production schedule in accordance with the corporation's strategic business plan. Engages in special build and inventory analysis, such as obsolescence projections. Serves as an interface between Manufacturing, Marketing, and Supplier Development, as well as the main source of information regarding forecast and schedule changes within the Supplier Development Group. Acts as a major contributor in the operation's planning process.
Responsibilities:
- Develops, maintains and controls a realistic master production schedule by balancing marketing requirements with manufacturing capacity and parts availability.
- Communicates forecast and production schedule changes to Supplier Development Group.
- Analyzes potential impact of forecast and production schedule changes on component procurement and production volume.
- Ensures consistency between product sales information and product build schedules.
- Collaborates with Manufacturing and Supply Chain to appropriately manage inventory levels and minimize obsolescence.
- Perform "What if" analyses to aid in optimal scheduling, priorities and decision making.
- Monitors and analyzes supplier performance indicators in order to proactively identify potential supply problems.
- Communicates all product availability risks as appropriate to effected departments.
- Liaison on with relevant departments to ensures product is available to the customer.
- Communicates demand changes for the S&OP process.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree plus 2-5 years of related work experience with a good understanding of specified functional area, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience. 2-5 years of related work experience.
