The Family Partner's role is to utilize a strength based approach to work with families of seriously emotionally disturbed children. We offer positive supports and assistance in accessing services which enhance the family's ability to identify and meet their uniquely defined goals. This position will work with the Mobile Mental Health Team to establish a caseload based onintegratedteam approach from MMH contacts. |
Job Description:
In this role you will:
-Do Community networking
-Agenda and facilitation of Board Meetings
-Co-facilitation of monthly Parent Peer Support Group
-Parent and community trainings
-Provide Family Support
-Assist with Annual Children's Mental Health Awareness Walk and Fundraiser
-Assist with Annual Family and Youth Children's Mental Health Summit
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have:
-The candidate will have demonstrated direct experience with needs, concerns and stressors of at risk youth and their families
-Knowledge of Children's Mental Health system and the Special Education system
-Ability to work as a team player with a variety of agencies
-Willingness to participate in ongoing training
-Reports to the Family Support Coordinator & Mobile Crisis Team Supervisor
-Must be sensitive to the impact of having a child with serious emotional, social or behavioral challenges.
-Completion of PEP training for Family Partner
-Family Peer Advocate Credential, IPS training preferred.
