Job Summary

We are seeking a Contract Operations Support Specialist for a full-time, on-site position with a Federal customer in Quantico, VA. The selected candidate will provide significant support to Government-led procurement teams to acquire products and services for the Navy.

Responsibilities and Duties

Provide contract program support to a diverse and geographically dispersed government contracting team. The Candidate must be fluent in using transactional information technology systems and have a high customer service aptitude along with a sound knowledge of the federal acquisition process. The Candidate must communicate at a professional business level using proper grammar and syntax in all correspondence. The Candidate must have the aptitude to learn U.S. Navy processes and procedures to include: posting information to and extract information from federal government acquisition applications to include Command Financial Management System (CFMS) , Standard Procurement System (SPS), Standard Procurement System II (PD2), Electronic Document Access (EDA) and Federal Procurement Data System – Next Generation (FPDS-NG).

Specific Duties

• Independently utilize analytical tools to generate data, analyze results, and create reports in pie and other graphic formats.

• Create reports and other output using Adobe Acrobat and the MS Office suite of products especially Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Access.

• Perform as the backup for the Government Management Analyst of all applications and processes.

• Perform maintenance and troubleshoot help desk tickets to support the continued sustainment of existing applications and archiving of contractual records.

• Make recommendations to improve information/management reporting systems.

• Responsible for manual and electronic file maintenance and reporting processes.

• Update Standard Operating Procedures for the Contract Operations Support role with step-by-step instructions to include screen shots on changes in established processes.

• Assist the customer with manual and electronic contract closeout process as requested.

• Serve as the supply liaison for the acquisition department.

• Serve as the backup Super User for the SPS/PD2 system. Perform system and vendor maintenance of the application to include the timely submission of help desk tickets on the user’s behalf to the Tier Two help desk office.

Qualifications and Skills

• Secret Clearance (active or is able to receive a secret clearance).
• Bachelor's Degree.
• Three (3) years' experience with business process management.
• Experience with federal government contracting process.
• Advance skills in the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly MS Word and Excel.
• Excellent writing skills.
• Desired Qualification: Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
