OVERVIEW OF ROLE:
The Associate Property Agent will work as a member of the City of Boulder’s Open Space and Mountain Park’s (OSMP) Real Estate Services team in carrying out a broad array of real estate-related activities and duties associated with the stewardship and recordkeeping of OSMP real estate interests including land, water, and mineral rights.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Supports OSMP’s Real Estate Services team.
Addresses, negotiates, and resolves a wide array of real estate issues.
Responds to inquiries and requests for information from both internal and external customers.
Drafts real estate-related documents such as access and management agreements.
Reviews acquisition records, contracts, title commitments, surveys, environmental inspections, and other due diligence documents associated with existing or potential open space properties.
2. Performs real estate research and data stewardship activities in support of OSMP’s Real Estate Services and Water Resources teams.
Conducts extensive research and analysis of property rights, surveys, encumbrances, water and mineral interests, access and other features of OSMP’s protected properties and potential new acquisitions.
Performs collaborative project management duties related to real estate electronic recordkeeping, inventory and data entry and stewardship.
3. Assists with real estate transactions and land stewardship.
Performs property monitoring, planning, and administrative functions as requested, including tasks related to city and county development reviews and monitoring and enforcement of OSMP’s ditch agreements, conservation easements, scenic easements, and development rights agreements.
4. Other duties.
Performs other related duties as requested to meet the needs of the department and city.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
Must have a valid drivers' license and the ability to maintain an acceptable motor vehicle record.

Capable of adjusting to in-person or work-from-home arrangements as needed to serve business need.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Demonstrated legal, paralegal or real estate education and/or expertise in real estate within public sector, land trust or open space program.
Understanding of land conservation, water rights and stewardship practices.
Experience in electronic recordkeeping and databases.
