CITY OF GLENN HEIGHTS Inspector Salary in the United States

The City of Glenn Heights is seeking applicants for a full-time Inspector.

Responsible for performing construction inspections of capital improvement projects and
infrastructure associated with proposed developments.

Reviews plans, specifications and sites for construction projects.
Inspects the construction of street improvements (paving, curb, and gutter, sidewalk, etc.),
bridges, storm drains and boxes, underground utility systems including lift stations, reservoirs,
pressure stations, force mains, parks, grading, and private street systems, street lights and
traffic signals.
Inspects pipe laying for alignment, grade, jointing, fittings, and materials.
Inspects sub grade and roadway base for compaction, alignment, grades, and materials.
Reviews product submittals, testing reports, video inspections, detour plans, haul routes and
erosion control plans.
Inspects grading, fine grading and irrigation systems.
Enforces ordinances pertaining to the right-of-way and construction permits, dust control,
erosion control, storm water quality, grading, and public improvements.
Prepares and checks progress payments, reduction, and releases of securities, notices of
completion and minor engineering reports.
Keeps miscellaneous records, maintains logs, and prepares reports as needed; maintains
records of inspection work make accurate field notes and prepare reports of inspection and
correspondence.
Review and makes recommendations on special construction issues and site conditions.
