The Opportunity.

CONSOR Engineers, LLC (CONSOR) is seeking a Construction Field Office Manager to join our Team to be a lead administrative technician in a growing Construction Services practice. The position will be located in Arizona. As a dynamic and growing engineering consulting firm, CONSOR is full of opportunities for career development.

This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the growth of CONSOR’s Construction Services practice through project delivery primarily on transportation construction projects. The candidate will serve as the lead office administrator working under the supervision of a Resident Engineer while coordinating field office activities with field staff on highway construction projects including survey, quality control, inspection, materials lab, and field office. 

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities.

As a CONSOR Field Office Manager you will be responsible for: 

  • Overseeing the work activities of a construction project field office.
  • Providing training, coaching, and guidance to journeyman level inspectors and field staff.
  • Function as the first contact for contractors, consultants, project owner, and other project stakeholders.
  • Coordination and compliance with Federal, state, and local requirements.
  • Review and/or prepare contract documents related to actual cost of work, change orders, force accounts, unit price adjustments, and financial documentation.
  • Review and verify certified payrolls, BECO contract compliance, Davis Bacon compliance, and monitor contractor’s DBE fulfillment responsibilities.
  • Organize ongoing project files and complete the project closeout for final review.

 

Required Credentials.

  • Possesses knowledge of principles and practices of civil engineering related to the construction of city, county, and state highway system roadways.
  • Training and/or experience with Supplemental Agreements, Pay Item/Daily Diary Documentation, Asphalt Unit Price Adjustment Documentation and Payment, Force Account Documentation for Inspectors, AC Form program entries, and CPE.
  • Experience ensuring compliance with Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) and other Federal requirements.
  • Ability to work independently with limited oversight.
  • Good communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Proficient in the use of computers, smartphones, and associated applications (Excel, Word, Outlook).
