Overview

The Business Systems Analyst (BSA) Finance combines both business understanding as well as system knowledge and focuses on meeting business needs in the context of SAP. The BSA has deep expertise in one or more business applications and partners with colleagues in IT and the business to solve problems by recommending the correct processes and configuration in the application to meet the business needs. She or he collaborates with other analysts and developers and has the necessary technical depth of knowledge to work on solutions which require both coding and configuration.

In addition, the BSA has a deep understanding of the business process supported be the applications and makes recommendations on how best to achieve the process objectives using the application.

Responsibilities

• Design processes in SAP ECC to meet the business objectives and goals.
• Specify inputs and outputs to meet users’ needs.
• Develop specifications diagrams and flowcharts for developers to follow.
• Configure SAP where necessary to meet business requirements.
• Participate in testing of the solution from development through production.
• Apply knowledge in Finance processes.
• Participate in defining business requirements and report them back to stakeholders, keeping in mind how these requirements can be addressed in SAP ECC.
• Translate business requirements into user stories and tasks in an agile framework.
• Work on both project and support

Qualifications

Required Skills

• Experience working with business and IT colleagues as well as decision makers at all levels.
• Hands-on configuration and /or development skills in SAP ECC.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proven analytical background.
• Solid technical understanding of software applications and how their configuration and code supports business processes.
• Advanced Microsoft Office 365 skills.
• Understanding of DevOps concepts in an agile framework.
• Problem solving attitude.

Education

• Undergraduate degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
• Certifications in SAP ECC or equivalent work experience.
