We’re seeking a Bilingual Collections Specialist to Provide excellent and considerate customer service to our dealers, sales and customers. You’ll also participate in performance management and ensure accountability is achieved through monthly one-on-ones and objective goal setting that measures quantity and quality with set time-lines for completion.
What You'll do as a Collections Supervisor:
• Ensure the organization’s collections and risk management strategies are carried out in an effective manner that results in the most profitable and efficient collection and performance of the FTF’s loan portfolio and risk related products
• Follow all collections policies and procedures to ensure collections specialist operates in the most efficient and compliant manner possible in our fast-paced, goal-oriented environment
• Follow repossession and liquidation recommendations and/or decisions on the disposal of any collateral are made with proper compliance to result in the smallest loss possible to the organization
• Ensure all collections strategies, efforts and results provide the proper balance between customer/account retention and problem resolution vs. premature repossession or foreclosure decisions
• Meet targeted daily/monthly delinquency and loss objectives and maintain assigned accounts
• Partner with senior management to develop collections/BK/recovery and professional skills
• Notify senior management of any recognized potential risks
• Actively participate in team or company meetings and events
• Communicate urgent or important information face to face or phone
• Provides and documents performance feedback through side-by-side coaching, performance reviews, mentoring, and goal setting.
• Review collection efforts on delinquent trends daily
• Improve customer satisfaction and call quality by monitoring and providing feedback
• Appropriately address human resources issues, such as attendance and interpersonal conflicts in the workplace
• Participate in the interviewing of collectors and make hiring decisions
As a Collections Supervisor, you'll also:
1. Follow policies and procedures and ask when questions arise
2. Work to ensure performance is consistently above or at the level expected
3. Resolve customer account problems and disputes such as disputes concerning loan balances, misapplied payments, return checks, credit history, fraud, and incorrect customer information
4. Provide service to customer and employees who have questions
5. When management designates accounts for charge off, prepare customer files for repossession, charge-off.
What You Bring as a Collections Supervisor:
• Bilingual with Spanish required
• Strong speaking and communication skills required
• Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university desired; or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum three years or more of similar or related experience.
