Overview

The Client Services Manager is a customer-driven role, with responsibilities focusing mainly on the servicing of customer accounts.  The role will help with planning and executing on customer projects from start to finish while monitoring progress, budgets (where applicable) and producing tracking reports or artifacts that represent the growth, trends, ROI and monitoring of the customer account.

Responsibilities

  • Helping plan and execute customers’ projects from start to finish
  • Monitoring progress, budgets and submitting tracking or monitoring reports
  • Conducting research to inform on customer strategies or how to strategically align with the customers’ long term needs
  • Development of supporting materials (i.e. proposals, slides, analyses)
  • Assist in delivering presentations to clients
  • Coordinate with internal teams and or possibly 3rd party vendors to implement projects
  • Monitor project progress, timelines and milestones
  • Submit regular status reports (if required or needed) – specific to the account management and possibly separate from any PM weekly status reports
  • Respond to customer requests
  • Maintain customer data and records that can be easily accessed for reference and availability to future business needs or trends
  • Using contacts to generate new business after discussed internally or planned with the Manager or internal stakeholders (TBD)
  • Engaging in project management duties
  • Attending meetings with clients and aligning to client engagement models
  • Maintain compliance with Inovalon’s policies, procedures and mission statement;
  • Adhere to all confidentiality and HIPAA requirements as outlined within Inovalon’s Operating Policies and Procedures in all ways and at all times with respect to any aspect of the data handled or services rendered in the undertaking of the position;
  • Fulfill those responsibilities and/or duties that may be reasonably provided by Inovalon for the purpose of achieving operational and financial success of the Company;
  • Uphold responsibilities relative to the separation of duties for applicable processes and procedures within your job function; and  
  • We reserve the right to change this job description from time to time as business needs dictate and will provide notice of such.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of directly relevant combined experience in managing highly complex, large, professional business to business relationships Professional services, consulting experience a plus Healthcare industry experience a plus, especially health plan operations;
  • Minimum 3 years in client relationship/account management experience and managing a client services team, preferably in healthcare industry;
  • Experience in project management with proven success of engagement, support and tracking of a customer and projects; PM certification a plus;
  • Ability to communicate with clients effectively regarding all aspects of product, service delivery, and related information;
  • Ability to manage expectations, create high levels of satisfaction, and effectively convey client needs to colleagues and functions throughout the company; 
  • Aptitude to understand healthcare industry and IT solutions based on analytics;
  • Robust problem solving skills and strong communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Demonstrated ability to capture, understand, manage, and resolve questions and issues; and
  • Knowledge of research methods or how to strategically plan
  • Proficient in MS Project and MS PowerPoint
  • Outstanding organizational skills
  • Willing to work collaboratively (with other team members) internally and externally for projects or tasks

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field required;
  • MBA or equivalent experience highly desired;

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • Sedentary work ( i.e. sitting for long periods of time)  Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force
  • Frequently or constantly to lift, carry push, pull or otherwise move objects and repetitive motions
  • Subject to inside environmental conditions
  • Travel for this position will include less than 75-100% locally usually for training purposes
