Overview:  This position will be involved with all aspects of the accounting, tax, and administrative functions of the business – including accounts payable, accounts receivable, daily transaction reporting, general ledger, month-end closing, reporting, and other administrative responsibilities   

Responsibilities:

• Daily transaction reporting – recording sales, cash deposits, inventory activity, and other daily journal entry activities
• Perform and manage accounts payable, weekly check processing, and W-9 & 1099 compliance
• Perform and manage accounts receivable, daily deposit reconciliation, and collections
• Perform and manage general accounting matters for multiple entities
• Assist the front desk and other office personnel
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local taxes and regulations, i.e., business permits, licenses, TABC, TTB, sales/use tax, property tax, excise tax, etc.
• Perform monthly accounting close activities and prepare reporting package
• Monitor the configurations of the inventory/sales/delivery route operations systems
• Coordinate the Year-End physical inventory count with the external auditors
• Perform other duties as necessary to ensure efficient business processes

Qualifications

Experience and Educational Requirements:

• 2 or more years of work experience in the manufacturing, distribution, or consumer goods industry
• Associates or bachelor’s level degree in accounting or related area preferred but not required if equivalent work experience
• Experience with regulatory agencies (e.g., FDA, health department, TABC, etc.)
• Excellent analytical, time management, and communication skills
• Experience with working with people and processes in a fast-past environment
• Microsoft Office skills (primarily Excel spreadsheet)
