Assistant Controller (Miramar, FL) 

Role Description

UDT is looking for an Assistant Controller and leader to join our finance team. This position reports to the Senior Director of Finance and will be responsible for supervising a staff of 4 direct reports. The Assistant Controller is responsible for high level reporting and analysis,  reviewing of monthly financial reporting,

Responsibilities 

• Manage the accounting and revenue functions to ensure accurate and timely completion of the monthly, quarterly and annual close cycles.
• Review all financial account reconciliations to ensure their timely completion and agreement with the general ledger and supporting ledgers. This includes cash, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and related accruals.  
• Coordinating and working with internal and external resources for tax and audit compliance. 
• Monitor and analyze accounting and finance departments and make recommendations to streamline/automate processes and improve workflow
• Assist with preparation and distribution of financial statements with variance explanations against budget and prior year(s).
