Hourly Wage for WSH MANAGEMENT Maintenance Technician - Apartments - Hayward Salary in the United States

We are currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician for our senior apartment community in Hayward. 

WSH Management has managed senior and multi-family properties since we began operations 19 years ago and are very experienced in the management of both Affordable and Market Rate Apartment Communities. We currently manage over 40 properties in Southern California and have over 100 employees.  Come join us!

Responsibilities include diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) units; electrical appliances, outlets, and light fixtures; plumbing, carpentry, and locks. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assisting with preparing vacant apartment units for rental and following a planned preventative maintenance schedule.

Essential Functions Include:

1.     Inspect property and equipment daily to determine need and extent of service, equipment required, type and number of operation and maintenance personnel needed.

2.     Respond to service requests on a first in, first out, (except in the case of an emergency) and in accordance with Fair Housing guidelines.  Document to accurately describe work done, parts used, disposition and time spent.

3.    Review and update quarterly, semi-annual and annual preventative maintenance schedule to include changing HVAC filters, fire detector batteries, other types of safety devices, cleaning gutters, and inspecting for leaks.

Experience:

2 years facilities/apartment community/maintenance/porter or relevant experience

Hard working with the desire to obtain on the job training.

Salary: $19.00 per hour
