Description: This is an entry level management position responsible for the supervision and coordination of quality services and staff of a case management team focused on the provision of case management services in the areas of foster care and adoption.

Specific job responsibilities and goals include but are not limited to:
• Supervise day to day operations of one case management team under the direction of Program Director and Assistant Program Director, Case Management Services.
• Oversee and direct the client data collection and reporting processes, ensuring that services are delivered as designed and outcome measures defined by the program are accomplished.
• Coordinates team on-call cycle ensuring that clients have access to case management and other staff as appropriate.
• Handles low level crises calls and situations, informing and engaging chain-of-command as necessary and appropriate.
• Provides, as needed and assigned, direct services to program, children and families.
• Participates in community groups, meetings and trainings related to program issues YFA is involved in at the direction of Program Director and Assistant Program Director.
• Maintains professional certification by participating in continuing education process.
• Must understand and demonstrate sensitivity to cultural, community, family and child needs.
• Completes other tasks or special projects as assigned.
• Other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor or leadership.
• Trained and authorized to access protected health information.
Requirements
Education & Experience: BSW/BA IN Human Services or MSW/MA in Human Services (preferred) with no less than two years of direct experience in the child welfare field.
Physical Requirements: Ability to travel regionally on a regular basis and statewide as needed; Ability to bend, lift and carry 30 pounds.
Essential Functions:
• Responsible for direct supervision of case management team as well as coordination, accuracy, appropriateness and timeliness of work flow
• Must be available as mentor and coach to assist and train team members in the timely preparation and completion of work assignments
• May carry an occasional case in order to troubleshoot and ensure timely monitoring and delivery of services
• Ability to document timely in a clear, concise manner and teach others to do so
• Possess skills to assist, interpret and deliver case and court related information
• Possess a positive attitude concerning all aspects of working in a challenging environment including significant patience and respect for peers and team members, as well as the children and families receiving program services
• Ability to arrive/report to work on time and ready to work
• Ability to abide by principles of EEO compliance and a workplace of dignity and respect
• Ability to work cooperatively in a group/team setting
• Ability to show respect to others
• Ability to take guidance and direction from supervisors
• Ability to abide by core values and mission statement of the agency
