Summary:

The CAD Draftsman is responsible for the design of CAD shop drawings from customer orders for fabrication and manufacturing.

Responsibilities:

• Perform engineering work related to configuring, deploying, maintaining and upgrading CAD drawings.
• Utilize and work with piping systems and drawing to design and analyze pipe support.
• Create 2D and 3D drawings and layouts for equipment and machine placement, instructions, and manuals.
• Be able to visualize and create models of equipment and machinery to maximize operational efficiencies.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Meeting with Engineers, Draftsmen, and Designers to review blueprints and design drawings.
• Working with a design team and individually on CAD projects.
• Reviewing CAD models with the client and making minor adjustments.
• Conducting final model rendering and delivering the final product

Skills:

• A technical degree, bachelor's degree or a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in CAD drafting and product planning.
• Strong analytical, design, and concept skills.
• Ability to prioritize, plan, organize, and control workflow in a team environment.
• Must be able to work accurately under time pressures, set priorities, and meet deadlines.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• A keen eye for aesthetics and detail.
• Ability to project manage.
• Advanced knowledge of Mathematics, Science, Engineering, and Architecture.

Qualifications:

• 5-10 years experience in design, drafting and doing equipment layout for a factory
• AutoCAD 2019 and above
• SolidWorks 2019 and above and PDM 
• PLM knowledge
• 20% travel to TX
