A Physical Director is responsible for overseeing and coordinating physical education and fitness programs within an organization. They develop and implement exercise and wellness programs, provide instruction on proper exercise techniques, and ensure the safety and well-being of participants. They may also manage fitness facilities, equipment, and staff, as well as organize and promote fitness events and activities. Additionally, they may collaborate with other departments to integrate physical fitness and wellness initiatives into the overall organizational culture. The Physical Director plays a key role in promoting and maintaining a healthy and active lifestyle for employees or members of the organization.
Directs and oversees the programs and staff of the physical therapy division and/or clinic. Evaluates current physical therapy programs and researches potential new or revised therapy programs to improve the quality of patient care. Develops and implements physical therapy policies, objectives, and initiatives. Reviews operational procedures to ensure standards meet regulatory compliance and follow industry best practices. Sets and implements guidelines for physical therapy programs. Monitors patient progress and treatment plans. Requires a doctorate degree in physical therapy. Requires Certified Physical Therapist (CPT). Requires Licensed Physical Therapist (LPT). Typically reports to senior management. Manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.
The Physical Asset Management Manager designs and implements systems that facilitate asset management. Manages and implements an organization's policies and processes to control and maintain physical assets, including property, plant, vehicles, and equipment. Develops methodologies for tracking asset lifecycle, inventory, locations, costs, and return on investment. In addition, Physical Asset Management Manager leads cross-functional coordination activities to develop and maintain an accurate and complete asset information database used for reporting across the organization. Typically requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a director.
