Carpenter Apprentice assists carpenters in the construction, maintenance, or remodeling of buildings or other structures. Learns and practices carpentry skills such as cutting, drilling, measuring, flooring, tiling, and various installation procedures. Being a Carpenter Apprentice sets up, transports, and maintains tools. Observes all worksite safety procedures and guidelines. Additionally, Carpenter Apprentice may require a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Carpenter Apprentice works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. May require 0-1 year of general work experience.
The Flooring Installer requires a high school diploma or its equivalent and 0-2 years of experience. Measures, installs, and cuts carpet and rugs. Being a Flooring Installer relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
